The Fishermen won 3 to 0 at home, and the Hornets beat Amesbury 4 to 0. Ipswich swept Rockport in soccer, and Amesbury edged the Manchester Essex girls. All finals are from the MIAA.
Volleyball: Gloucester 3, Saugus 0
Gloucester swept Saugus 3 to 0 at home on Thursday, Oct. 8, according to the MIAA. The Fishermen play at Winthrop on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m.
Boys soccer: Manchester Essex 4, Amesbury 0
Manchester Essex shut out Amesbury 4 to 0 at home. Scorers were not posted. The Hornets host Lynnfield on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Boys soccer: Ipswich 3, Rockport 1
Ipswich won 3 to 1 at Rockport. The Vikings play at Gloucester on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Girls soccer: Amesbury 2, Manchester Essex 1
Amesbury beat Manchester Essex 2 to 1 at Amesbury. The Hornets host Salem on Saturday at 5 p.m.
Girls soccer: Ipswich 1, Rockport 0
Ipswich beat Rockport 1 to 0 at Ipswich. Rockport plays at Gloucester on Saturday at 4 p.m.
