Gloucester boys soccer

The Fishermen won 1 to 0 at winless Saugus on Monday, Sept. 28, then lost 1 to 0 at Swampscott on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Gloucester is 3 and 2 in the Northeastern Conference, third in MaxPreps' league standings.

Gloucester girls soccer

Two home games, two ties. Gloucester led Winthrop 1 to 0 at halftime Sept. 24 before the Vikings tied it in the second half. On Sept. 28, the Fishermen and Saugus played to a 2 to 2 draw. Swampscott then won 4 to 0 in Gloucester on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Gloucester is 1 and 4 with two ties.

Manchester Essex football

The Hornets fell to 0 and 3 with a 21 to 0 loss to Lynnfield at Hyland Field on Sept. 25.

Manchester Essex girls soccer

The Hornets lost 6 to 0 at Georgetown on Sept. 25 and 1 to 0 at home to Hamilton-Wenham on Sept. 29. They are 2 and 4 with a tie.

Rockport girls soccer

The Vikings lost two one goal games. Amesbury won 2 to 1 at home Sept. 24, and Georgetown won 1 to 0 in Rockport on Sept. 29 on a first half goal. Rockport is 1 and 7.
