Gloucester football beats Salem 35 to 17 on Senior Night

Gloucester beat Salem 35 to 17 on Friday night, Oct. 9, at Newell Stadium. The Fishermen are now 4 and 1.

It was Senior Night for the Fishermen.

The game was close early. Gloucester led 21 to 17 in the first half. Then the Gloucester defense took over and shut out Salem in the second half. The Fishermen led 28 to 17 after three quarters.

Freshman Fode Kaba ran for more than 165 yards. Senior Tanner Smith scored the last touchdown. He fought his way into the end zone on a 12 yard run with 12 seconds left.

Gloucester hosts Swampscott next Friday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m.
