At its meeting Monday, the Select Board approved the warrant for the November 16 special town meeting. The board recommended seven articles, including borrowing for the senior center. It took no position yet on the 95 million dollar Essex Elementary School project. Vice Chair Catherine Bilotta said she cannot support the article without a firm dollar limit for the town. The board will make its recommendation at town meeting.

The Finance Committee meets tomorrow at 7 p.m. in Town Hall and on Zoom. The agenda includes the senior center project, the town's debt, and a 25 year borrowing plan.

Today's public meetings include the Downtown Improvement Committee at 8:30 a.m. on Zoom. The Ranked Choice Voting Study Committee meets at 4 p.m. at 10 Central Street. The Cable Advisory Committee meets at 6 p.m. The Facility Planning Committee meets at 7 p.m. at Town Hall and on Zoom.

Today, early voting is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The library hosts a Fiber Arts Circle from 2 to 3 p.m.

The state athletic association posted Tuesday's results. Manchester Essex boys soccer beat Georgetown 4 to 1, and girls soccer tied Georgetown 2 to 2. A football score from Friday, October 16 was also posted Tuesday, with Triton beating Manchester Essex 48 to 8. Today, the golf team plays at 9 a.m., and field hockey travels to Essex Tech at 4 p.m.

The National Weather Service expects a cloudy Wednesday with a high near 52. A small craft advisory runs until 5 p.m. tomorrow, followed by a gale watch through Friday afternoon.
