Manchester's Zoning Board of Appeals will visit four properties Saturday morning, Oct. 24, ahead of public hearings on all four on Wednesday, Oct. 28. One is a request from Essex County Club to add a restroom building on its golf course.

Saturday site visits, 9:30 a.m.

Board members will tour the sites starting at 9:30 a.m., the town's posting says. Each visit is expected to last about 15 minutes, and no deliberation will take place. For the Essex County Club visit, the posting says to meet at Sweeney Park.

What the board will hear Oct. 28

The hearings are at 7 p.m. in Town Hall, Room 5, and on Zoom (meeting ID 878 2294 6445). Each application asks for a special permit:

  • Essex County Club, 153 School Street: an accessory building with restrooms at the golf course. The posting says the golf course is a non-conforming use, meaning it does not fit current zoning in that district.
  • Proctor Street: a large accessory apartment above an existing garage, plus other changes to a single family home on a nonconforming lot.
  • Skytop Drive: a new swimming pool and related work.
  • Andrews Way: a renovation and expansion of a single family home to add bedrooms and living space, partly within a side setback.

Anyone can attend the hearing in person or online. The full notices, with the Zoom link, are in the town's posting.
