No school Monday across Cape Ann, and Rockport students are off Tuesday too

All three districts and Essex North Shore Aggie are closed for the Columbus Day holiday. Gloucester PreK to 8 schools have an early release next Thursday for conferences.

There is no school on Monday, Oct. 12, in Gloucester, Rockport and the Manchester Essex Regional School District, or at Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School. The district calendars list the day as the Columbus Day holiday; Manchester Essex lists it as Indigenous Peoples' Day and Columbus Day.

Rockport: Students also have no school on Tuesday, Oct. 13. The district calendar marks it as a day off for students only. Classes resume Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Gloucester: PreK to 8 schools have an early release on Thursday, Oct. 15, for parent conferences, with evening conferences that day. Check with your child's school for dismissal times.

Gloucester, Manchester Essex and Essex North Shore: Classes resume Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The calendars show no closings or delays for Friday, Oct. 9.
