The Rockport Transfer Station's last Sunday of the season is Oct. 18, the Rockport Department of Public Works said in a post on its Facebook page. After that, the transfer station will be closed on Sundays for the off season.

Hours from here

  • Sunday, Oct. 18: open, starting at 8 a.m. This is the final Sunday of the season.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., all year.
  • Closed: Sundays after Oct. 18, plus every Monday and Thursday.

The town's transfer station rules set Sunday hours from the Sunday before Memorial Day through the Sunday after Columbus Day, which this year is Oct. 18. Holidays and bad weather can change the schedule.

To confirm hours, call the transfer station at 978-309-8824 or the DPW office at 978-546-3525. The town's Transfer Station Division page has the full rules, bag information and holiday closings.
