Tomorrow, bring a homemade cake to swap slices at Cake Fest, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Windhover Center for the Performing Arts.
The state's most recent drought declaration, from September 10, keeps Cape Ann at a Level 1 mild drought. Rockport's ban on all outdoor water use remains in effect.
The National Weather Service expects a sunny and cool weekend, with highs near 61 today and 59 tomorrow, and a chance of showers holding off until tomorrow night. High tides in Rockport come just before 4:51 a.m. and 5:09 p.m. today, and just before 5:58 a.m. and 6:18 p.m. tomorrow.
We also remember Amnon Wachman, MD, 91. A graveside funeral service was held Friday.
