Scoreboard: Gloucester field hockey blanks Saugus to go 15 and 0; Gloucester girls soccer wins at Whittier

Gloucester field hockey shut out Saugus 4 to 0 on senior night at Newell Stadium Friday, its 15th win in 15 games, the MIAA shows. The team's post credits its goalkeeper with another shutout. Gloucester girls soccer also won Friday, 4 to 0 at Whittier.

Friday, Oct. 23, finals

• Field hockey: Gloucester 4, Saugus 0, at Newell Stadium.
• Girls soccer: Gloucester 4, Whittier 0, at Whittier.

Tuesday, Oct. 20, final

• Girls soccer: Rockport 3, Amesbury 1, at Rockport High. The MIAA posted this score Friday.

Scores from Gloucester boys soccer at Malden and volleyball at Salem will be added when the MIAA posts them. Neither local football game was played. Thursday's results, including Rockport boys soccer's 2 to 0 win over Lynnfield, are in Thursday's scoreboard.

Friday, Oct. 23, schedule

• Boys soccer: Gloucester at Malden, Pine Banks, 4:15 p.m.
• Girls soccer: Gloucester at Whittier, 4:30 p.m.
• Field hockey: Saugus at Gloucester, Newell Stadium, 5 p.m.
• Volleyball: Gloucester at Salem, 5 p.m.
• Football: The MIAA lists Malden at Manchester Essex as canceled. The school's athletics schedule still showed the game early Friday, so check with Manchester Essex before heading to Hyland Field. Gloucester's game at Saugus is canceled, as Saugus called it off earlier this week. Gloucester cheer at Saugus is also listed as canceled.

Saturday, Oct. 24

• Field hockey: Essex Tech at Rockport, 1 p.m.

The MIAA also lists Rockport boys and girls soccer at home against Essex Tech on Saturday, but the Rockport schools calendar has those games on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Check with the school for the date.

Monday, Oct. 26

• Boys soccer: Saugus at Gloucester, 4:30 p.m.
• Volleyball: Triton at Gloucester, 5:45 p.m.
• Girls soccer: Gloucester at Saugus, 6:30 p.m.
• Field hockey: Triton at Manchester Essex, 7 p.m.

Still waiting on a score

The MIAA had not posted results by Friday night for Gloucester boys soccer at Malden, Gloucester volleyball at Salem, Gloucester boys golf at the Division 2 North sectional on Tuesday, or Wednesday's Northeastern Conference and Cape Ann League golf opens. We will add them when it does.
