Four public meetings on Cape Ann Tuesday, Oct. 6, cover holiday plans in Rockport, Manchester Essex's elementary schools, a citywide arts plan and a waste transfer station in Gloucester.

4 p.m., Gloucester Board of Health subcommittee. The Eastern Waste Service Subcommittee looks at a blasting study filed for the construction waste transfer station planned at 24 Kondelin Road. City Hall Annex, 3 Pond Road, second floor, and on Zoom. Read our preview.

6 p.m., Rockport Select Board. Votes on a Christmas in Rockport proposal, a joint lawyer for Cape Ann's cable talks with Comcast, the Nov. 3 election warrant and four public works contracts. On Zoom; the link is on the posted agenda. Read our preview.

The principals of Essex Elementary and Memorial School present their improvement plans and the outlook for the 2027 budget year, and the committee hears from the Essex School Building Committee.
